Found these breaded eggplant patties at Vons and figured we’d give ‘em a try. They came out okay, but all the patties are odd sizes, and it doesn’t really taste like much. Not bad, but when you add all the fixens it just tastes like a standard boca burger.
The “buns” are one of our new favorite food innovations. They’re like hamburger buns, but without all the bread. I’m sure it’s a “carb counter” thing, but I just like it ‘cause when you bite into the burger, you’re actually tasting what’s inside, not just getting a mouth full of bread. Of course I understand that they’re basically just slices of bread cut into a circle, but whatever.
